However, you should be able to make the cake without my help with the new ingredients opportunity. Attached a recipe from a bakery that my family uses religiously. Always a hit. Frosting might be a little tricky, but don't sweat it too much. I starred optional ingredients. As long as you have the essential ones cake would come out positive.

ps: if you still want to use the chocolate bars, cut them into chunks and mix into the batter as is like you would with cookie dough. Don't need to melt it, it'll melt in the oven and then cool. You'll have different consistency depending on if you want to eat warm or cold cake.
